This is an initiative by Manisha Choudhary through Chalktalks, to create awareness, instill interest and enable women to develop enough knowledge about investments and getting their money channelized in right direction for future securities.
It’s a way of her to give back to society through such awareness programs and initiatives where even uplifting one person, her fellow women to empower them with the right knowledge, and wants to extend the help to watch them flourish and become independent.
There’s a lot of scope in developing this area of interest since women have never really have been thoughtful about their future and securing their old age. Usually, women, whether working or not, always depend on their partners or family to manage their funds and leave it upon them to decide about their savings too. This trend is slowly changing and newer arenas of investments have opened up in recent times to help women take the right path and think more towards their future savings to understand and invest correctly. The rapid growth of the investment management industry in emerging markets like India provides a good opportunity for women to pursue an invigorating and productive career in the investment management industry as well. The initiative is also an attempt to empower young women, looking to start a career, to better understand the current flexibility within the industry.
